We are all predators and prey
This may be an emotionally charged picture to some people and that’s ok. We don’t have to look at death and be numb to it. No, but we do have to do what’s right in spite of our feelings. Just as @prairiegoldmeat is doing, because it’s the right way to do it.
I think a lot of us have been raised to believe that our emotions are a barometer to what is right and wrong. When we feel “bad” we want to move away, when we feel “good” we want more. It’s a very childlike way of perceiving the world. Sadly, it’s one our society and culture reinforce. It’s actually not very helpful in helping us to grow and evolve. It has nothing to do with ethics and responsibility. And it’s responsibility that will set you free, contrary to the party line.
Please, for anyone that hasn’t read @jordan.b.peterson book “12 Rules for Life”, it dismantles the conditioned stuff that’s really not serving you or your loved ones.
These pictures are from the second farm we went to today. Different setup. If you didn’t see my first post from earlier today, please refer back to that one for the full story.
We are all predators and prey. That’s the gig we get when we sign up to be living creatures on a living planet. Own both with gratitude and responsibility. It’s a weight, yes, but life is supposed to be heavy and meaningful and complex and rich. It’s ok. Move to what is right over a self absorbed perception of comfort. If we all do this, we might just find our way out of this mess yet.
