I bought this full body, full spectrum light bed (it hangs on the back of a door) from Dr. Mercola about 8 or 9 years ago. Where I live, it’s cold in winter. Even being outside in the sun most of the day leaves me limited in my exposure given that I’m so bundled up and the sun is so far away.
Whether it’s because of having chronic Lyme disease or a genetic blip, I have had low vitamin D levels all of my adult life. For years I was taking the very best D in ridiculous dosages and no matter what we tried, my D levels remained at the rock bottom range. It really affected how I felt and functioned.
In desperation, I bought the light bed. Transformation station. Whoa Nelly, suddenly, with zero supplements, my D levels were up in the phenomenal range they stayed at in the summer. Even more importantly, I felt good and my immune markers stayed in range instead of dropping like they did every winter. That light bed has been a life saver for me.
I wanted to mention this because a few of you asked about my sauna light. It’s just an infrared light I switched out for the incandescent that was in there. It adds a few new waves of healing light, but it’s this bed that I really depend on. Well, first it’s the sun of course, but it’s not concentrated enough for my optimal health in the winter.
I know there are all sorts of red healing light companies out now. If it works for you, I think that’s great. I’m not a fan of LED bulbs after doing my own research, but that’s a personal thing. This is just one version of many possibilities but I’ve been using it for years and it’s really been one of my best investments for my physical and emotional health.
